Minimal, sculptural, and quietly powerful, Lines reimagines ancient mirror inlay through a contemporary lens.

Handcrafted in Rajasthan using traditional Thikri — curved metallic glass shaped in heritage furnaces - each mirror segment is cut, placed, and aligned entirely by hand. The layered arches and flowing geometry create a rhythmic composition that responds beautifully to light, allowing the surface to shift, glow, and shimmer from every angle throughout the day.

By bringing this piece into your space, you become part of the movement to protect and preserve India’s extraordinary mirror inlay tradition.

Perfect for living rooms, entryways, boutique spaces, or luxury interiors, this piece brings warmth, depth, and artisanal character to any wall.

Style Tip:
Pair it with our other tropical edit artworks to create a cohesive, lush tropical wall story that transforms your space into a refined sanctuary of handcrafted beauty.

HANDMADE DISCLAIMER

Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, one at a time, by master artisans.

Because of this process, no two pieces are ever exactly alike - a beautiful reminder that you are holding something truly unique.

Thikri Mirror is a traditional reflective glass created from hand-blown metallic glass scraps, shaped from molten glass much like a matka (earthen pot). These mirrors are produced only in Desi Bhatti (traditional furnaces) in Gujarat, using age-old techniques that very few skilled karigars practice today.

Due to the limited number of artisans still preserving this craft, the raw material itself is rare and often in short supply.

The mirrors are mouth-blown and hand-shaped, which naturally results in:
- Gentle air bubbles
- Subtle surface discolouration
- Organic curves and uneven textures

These characteristics make Thikri mirrors beautifully different from machine-made, flat reflective glass.

Because each mirror is handmade:

- Imperfections are natural

- No two shades of the same colour are ever identical
- Each piece carries its own story and character.
Every new stock carries its own distinct shade from the previous one, which means natural variations and subtle differences are always to be expected.

Your purchase directly supports the revival of the ancient Thikri mirror inlay craft, practiced by artisans in Rajasthan, and helps preserve a heritage that is slowly disappearing.

Perfectly imperfect. Authentically handcrafted.

Care Instructions

To maintain the beauty of your artwork, gently wipe the surface with a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove any dust or residue.

Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture, as this may damage the handcrafted surface and mirror detailing.

With simple care, your piece will continue to shine beautifully for years to come.
